Lemon Squares



2 cups flour (240 g Mehl)
½ cup powdered sugar (60 g Puderzucker)
1 cup butter (200 g Butter)

4 eggs (4 Eier)
1½ cups sugar (320 g Zucker)
4 tsp flour (4 EL Mehl)
½ tsp baking powder (½ EL Backpulver mit dem Mehl dazusieben)
1 Lemon, rind (von 1 Zitrone abgeriebene Schale)
½ cup lemon juice (120 ml Zitronensaft)


Pat this mixture in a 13” x 9” pan (ca. 33 x 23 cm Blech) and built the sides up all around about 1” (2.54 cm) high.
Bake this for 20–25 min at 375°F (ca. 180°C).

Grate the entire lemon and add the rind to this mixture and beat all together.
When the above crust is finished, then pour this lemon mixture over it.
Bake again for 15–20 min at 375°F (ca. 180°C).
Let cool and cut into squares.
